Sunrise Way: Model of care

In 2022, 360Edge continued its partnership with Sunrise Way, a residential alcohol and other drug residential rehabilitation service located in Toowoomba, QLD. 360Edge were proud to undertake a comprehensive review of Sunrise Way in 2021, and one of the main recommendations from that work was the development of a model of care for the service. Working with staff, the board and clinical governance group, we developed Sunrise Way’s model of care to reflect the evidence and support best practice care across the service.

In developing the model of care, we drew on our previous understanding of the service, its context, and service user needs. We undertook a literature review to identify the most appropriate treatment modalities for the service, and articulated a set of principles to guide all aspects of service delivery. The model of care will guide all aspects of Sunrise Way’s service delivery, support clinical decision making and care planning and inform future program development.

We provide practical tailored solutions for any service who works with people who use drugs. We support better responses to alcohol and other drug issues in mental health, primary care, welfare, justice and education sectors, as well as the specialist alcohol and other drug sector. Learn more about how 360Edge can help your service.
